WEEK 4

WEEK 4

20XII Enforcers (1-2) @ Sardinia Schultzstaffel (2-1)

DOOM is off to a rough start this year, and heads into week 4 at 1-2, looking to forget last week’s 16 point loss to #BOOM. SS is coming off a powerhouse performance by their offense, led by Drew Brees’ 40 showing against Arizona. DOOM will be hoping for a career day by Joe Flacco against a Bills defense that gave up 500+ yards to the circus Jets. However, I’m expecting an even more flimsy performance this week from their offense. Without much competition here, this one goes to SS in a big way;  SS WINS 141-99.

The Third Frank Reich (0-3) @ Queen City’s Finest (2-1)

TTFR owner Don LeFort was tasked with writing this column for the year, but like his team he has yet to truly catch on to one fact: YOU NEED TO SHOW UP TO WIN! Hopefully he found more time to commit to his team than his writing this week, because the schedules not getting any easier.  QCF will be walking tall into this matchup after finally getting that much needed win over EBC. If QCF can get the most out of its offense, TTFR will need all 3 Bob Griffins to show up in Oakland to have a chance at survival. Luckily for TTFR, I believe this will be the week that the RB tandem of Spiller and Martin finally return to form with rookie QB’s EJ Manuel and Mike Glennon at the helm. This may be their only chance to pull one out for a couple weeks. I’m giving them the squeaker; TTFR WINS 130-128.

Spiller High Life (1-2) @ Them Bastards (3-0)

TB had some serious injury trouble back in week 2, but managed to right the ship in time for last week’s matchup with BFD. After replacing Vernon Davis and Steven Jackson, Jordan Cameron and Bernard Pierce played well enough to help push to a 2 point victory. SHL is hoping Adrian Peterson will put up more AP-like numbers against a weakened Steeler’s D across the pond. Unfortunately, OB Colin Kaepernick just hasn’t been the elite force they had hoped for and has been a huge letdown in recent weeks. SHL will need to keep the pedal to the floor to keep this feisty squad of Bastards from edging them out. If they let up for a second, TB will edge them out. I just don’t see them having the stamina to hold out for a win this week; TB WINS 119-100.

Dogs on Hogs (1-2) @ Eagle Blissfully Cute (1-2)

Defending champs EBC take on this year’s draft chumps DOH in week 4. EBC is hoping to start turning this season back in their favor after a surprising nuptial upset, or “The Nupset” as I have just recently decided to call it. On paper, EBC does not look like a 1-2 team, especially with Foster and Gore in the RB fold. But lack of attention to the finer details could prove to be costly this week with Nelson starting on a bye week and Andre Johnson as a game time decision. DOH will be hoping for another strong week from LeSean McCoy as they wander aimlessly through yet another week. After pulling out a win last week against a lagging TTFR squad, they will hope they can find a way to sneak past the reigning champs. Strange to think it, but this could be a close one if DOH can stay awake for the entire weekend. But as they say, a woman’s work is never done, and I think this team will start to turn it around here; EBC WINS 105-99.

DOG GAME OF THE WEEK

Wakka Flacco Flame (0-3) @ Buffalo Fupped Duck (1-2)

Forget knives, WFF has been bringing ballet slippers to gunfights in their inaugural season. At 0-3, they have looked overmatched in the big boy league so far. BFD is fighting but seems to be having trouble winning on the waiver wire. BFD will need to lean heavily on an aging team to pull off a win this week. With CJ Spiller nursing a knee injury, Fred Jackson should see an uptick in production this week. However, LawFirm may be trending downward as rookie Gio Bernard seems to be gaining momentum in the Bengals ground game. A strong showing from Boldin and Houston’s DeAndre Hopkins could give BFD an edge, especially if Andre Johnson can’t suit up this week. WFF will be hoping for a little bit of Luck and a whole lot of Reggie Bush, who returns from injury this week. Sorry WFF, but this week BFD is going to make you look like a joke. WAKKA WAKKA WAKKA (Fozzy Bear… Google it, young’n); BFD WINS 140-107.

MATCHUP OF THE WEEK

Buffalo #BOOM (3-0) @ Broker Hymens (3-0)

This week’s Matchup of the Week features 2 of the 3 undefeated teams and one happens to be my sleeper pick for this year, #BOOM. #BOOM looks to continue their win streak after taking out DOOM last week. #BOOM stands out this year for two reasons: an extremely tough defensive crew and a reenergized Michael Vick. If Vick can keep moving the ball in the right direction this week, it should be a solid week for #BOOM. BH will look to Peyton Manning as their savior once again, but he wont be the only one putting up big numbers. Trent Richardson has had a full week of practice with the Colts now, and he faces the sad, sad Jags. He’s going to be looking to show his old team how big a mistake they made. This one is going to be a slugfest, but only one team can walk out 4-0. I’m predicting good things this season for #BOOM, but its not going to be this week. Its only week 4 and BH is about to equal their win total from last year; BH WINS 161-149

Adam's Week 7 Predictions

One week left of divisional play and the half way mark is approaching us. Them Bastards finally were taken down this past week. This week will conclude the first set of divisional games and with teams looking ahead towards the playoffs this week they will need to win a division game.

Game of the Week Eagle Blissfully Cute (5-1) take on the Enforcers (4-2) these two teams could be going at it all season to secure the top spot in the division. This game could have more impact than most will think. The Cute have been on a 5 game win streak and dont look to slow down anytime soon, although with many guys on bye this week Enforcers tie the division lead up with a 134-111 win.

Queen Citys Finest (3-3) vs Broker Hymens (1-5) this game means more to the Finest seeings how both teams ahead of them are nearly perfect. The Hymens seem to have thrown the towel in and playoff hopes deminish with every week going by. Finest blow out Hymens 154-101.

Shutzstaffel (3-3) take on the Buffalo Maybe Next Year (1-5)the SS have there heads in the sky this week after doing what no team has done this season and thats beat Them Bastards. They might want to come down a notch as Next Year is better than there record shows just losing close games that they couldnt finish. Both teams have struggled this season but the SS will ride high sweeping the division with a 124-123 win.

Lastly Them Bastards (5-1) against The Third Frank Reich (2-4). Bastards are looking for a bounce back game as the Reich are looking to close the gap. Reich have rearanged there team in hopes to compete come December. Maybe now with the Bastards losing they will realize they are not fantasy football gods and will fall 2 straight weeks Frank Reich pulls off an incredible upset 139-125

IM BACK Week 6: Game of the Week

VS.
Now lets be honest, on draft day, did anyone think newcomers Them Bastards would pull off a winning record? Did anyone expect the rookie owner to have the Dream League's first 5-0 team? No. And no. Did it happen? Yes. And to the delight of the rest of the league, Them Bastards came back down to earth with a stunning upset, 132-126, at the hands of the always cocky Sardinia Schutzstaffel.
With the first two sets of Sunday's games finished, Bastards were clinging to a lead. But with theyre whole roster finished before the night game, they could see their perfect record slipping away. With terrible performances by mid week pickups Pierre Garcon (8 catches, 52yds) and Ryan Torain (10 rushes, 22yds) they proved to be poor subs for Ryan Matthews and Chris Johnson on the bye week. Darren McFadden added a solid performance (21pts), but it wasn't enough to last through the night games.
SS took full advantage of TB's bye week woes as Michael Turner and mid-week trade LeSean McCoy combined for 50 pts and 3TDs. Haloti Ngata brought down the hammer with 8 tackles and a sack.
All good things must come to an end, but SS must remember that things only get tougher as the playoffs approach. Buffalo Maybe Next Year doesnt look like a team that will just throw in the towel.
Also, as i missed my report last week, game of the week was meant to go to QC vs. EBC for their epic tie game which came down to QB play and resulted in a W for Cute. What a way to lose (to a girl nonetheless.) Ouch.

WEEK 4: Game of the Week

VS.

This weeks Game of the Week has one owners friends asking "Hey man, are you ok?" All I could do was watch and shake my head as The Third Frank Reich succumbed to one of the worst losses in league history. But even as TTFR begged for mercy like Rodney King, the beating continued as 20X11 Enforcers made a statement, winning 215-124.

Im going to go ahead and say it... What the fuck Aaron Rodgers?! Can you chill the fuck out dude?

61 points. Unreal. Rodgers goes 29/38, 408 yds, and 4TD and you can pretty much call it a day there. Then you add 22 point from Jimmy Graham (10 rec, 132 yds, 1TD) and 20 from the always dependable Ray Rice (130 yds total) and its a wrap.
Solid performances by good ol' Megatron (8 rec, 96 yds, 2TD) and LeGarrette Blount (25 rush, 127 yds, 1TD) racked up a total 44 points, but a weak (and i say "weak" generously) performance by TTFR's defense showed exactly where Reich needs work. I'd say a serious overhaul is in line for this week.
I'd also like to throw a congrats to Broker Hymens, who finally popped that victory cherry and traded the V-card for notch in the W column when the surprised the entire league with a 163-135 win over Buffalo Maybe Next Year. But when your team doesnt take part in the draft, its hard to say when that next W is going to come. Hymens are into division play now with a very tough road ahead.
Thats all for this week. Time for some division play. Things are bound to get shaken up a bit in the weeks to come.

POUNDING THE POINTS ALERT

Midway through sundays games, Queen City's Finest and Them Bastards are burning up the scoreboard!

Adam's Week 4 Predictions

The NFC has taken a strangle hold on the AFC teams as a whole. There is still one unbeaten team left the newcomers Them Bastards, appropriate name for them since the league is calling them just that. Broker Hymens still winless and the remaining teams are 2-1 in the nfc and 1-2 in the afc. This week teams will look for a win heading into divisional play when everything will begin to take shape and get tight.

Game of the week- Them Bastards vs Queen Citys Finest. This is the only match up this week with two winning teams going head to head. Them Bastards looking for the 4-0 mark to hit divisional play as Finest looking for a 3-1 record to hopefully stay in the top of the division. Finest have been apart of two close games this year and coming up on top both times if this game gets close look for the Finest to hand Them Bastards their first loss 145-140 QCF.

Sardinia Shutzstaffel takes on Eagle Blissfully Cute this weekend in the past these have been good games but this year the SS cannot pull through in tight games back to back weeks they have came short. Will this weekend they finally have the answers to pull through and stay even on the season. In a weak div SS could afford a loss this weekend and make it up through the div play but look for the SS to join the 500 club with a 130-125 win.

The Third Frank Reich vs Enforcers this week. The defending champions finally have a win and the Enforcers took their first lost over the weekend. Enforcers have shown they have enough firepower to continue reeking havoc on teams 175-140 Enforcers.

The Dog Game of the Week- Buffalo Maybe Next Year vs Broker Hymens. Will the Hymens finally record there first win of the year? Will BMNY reach the 500 mark? This game should come down to the wire and both teams need a win more so the Hymens. Hymens might finally break there slump in a low scoring 120-116 win. On second thought BMNY takes it 125-120.

After this week we will finally see the div match ups that will make or break seasons over the next 3 weeks.

WEEK 3: Game of the Week

VS.

This week's Game of the Week was billed as "The Battle of the Undeated". Not to be overshadowed by an epic Buffalo Bills win over the New England Patriots, Them Bastards handed 20X11 Enforcers their first loss of the season, 195-134.5.

Like the Bills, the Enforcers were at a huge deficit early in the day. Matthew Stafford (378 yds, 2TD) took the Lions into overtime to finish strong with 29 pts and the always dependable Darren McFadden (171 yds, 2TD) added a powerful punch with 34 pts. Mid-week pickups Rob Gronkowski (25pts) and Morgan Burnett (14pts) also added to the pressure on the Enforcers.
Aaron Rodgers (297 yds, 3TD) had a great on-field performance for 20X11, but finished with 31 pts after throwing an INT. The Enforcers had their worst defensive performance of the year, putting the nail in the coffin on their hopes of going 3-0.
Looks like this years newcomers are having no trouble putting together the pieces for a winning season, according to this writer's unbiased opinion. We should be seeing more of the same in the coming weeks from TB.

Adam's Week 3 Predictions

Exciting start to the new campaign. This week we have the battle of the undefeateds, two battles of 500 teams and finally one team will get a win in the battle of the 0-2 teams. The game of the week is Them Bastards vs Enforcers. Each team is 2-0 and looking to be the only undefeated team left going into the final week of non divisional play. This game will mean everything to these two clubs. The suprising thing about these two teams are that they are 2-0. With experience in this league the Enforcers will get the job done although it will be a tight game throughout. Enforcers 168-159. The second game this week is SS vs Finest both teams are looking to stay above 500 and SS are looking for revenge from last years 3rd place game. SS 138-136. The other battle of 500 teams is BMNY vs Cute. Year changed alot from previous years and is looking to prove to the league they are for real. BMNY should take this in a 143-119 win. Last but not least two teams looking for there first win. Reich vs Hymens, TTFR took a turn for the worst this year looks as if they have a championship hangover so far this season. This will be an ugly low scoring slop fest. Hymens roll for a 114-109 win this week and leave the defending champions wondering what they have to do to finally get the W.

WEEK 2: Game of the Week

VS.

Week 2's Game of the Week came in the form of an asskicking from an underdog. Queen City's Finest were stunned when Buffalo Maybe Next Year handed them a 190-137 loss, earning them this writer's "Red-headed Stepchild" Award.
The last time a Jackson caused this much damage, a little black boy grew up to be a scary white pill addict/child molestor. Hopefully, that kind of lasting effect wont take hold of QC after an abusive 28 point performance by Buffalo's Fred Jackson (117 yds, 2TD). In true Jackson fashion, the abuse continued as San Diego's Vincent Jackson (172 yds, 2TD) went on to rape QC to the tune of 32 points. Less than stellar performances by Phillip Rivers (2 INT) and MJD (88 yds, 0TD) did nothing to stop the onslaught of BMNY.
Hopefully this week, QC can bulk up the defense a little bit (maybe dropping Chris Nield will help). The pick up of Daniel Thomas from waivers might be the spark they need to avoid going sub-.500. BMNY seems to use the mantra "if it aint broke, dont fix it" so we will see if Next Year can pull out another W against Eagle Blissfully Cute.
This week was a Thriller. It got Bad for a few teams, but Thats The Way Love Goes. So Keep Your Head Up QC, next week your team will Come Together and whatever team you play, you'll Beat It. Just remember, You Are Not Alone.

Adam's Week 2 Predictions

Week one had its fair share of shake-ups. Enforcers controlled the tempo throughout the games over the weekend. This week has some matchups that will be entertaining.

First game of the week the battle of the beatens. The Third Frank Reich heads up against Eagle Blissfully Cute. Both teams are looking to get a w this weekend and not go down 0-2. Reich had a close shot last week but came up short. The story is said defense wins championships but in this case if the offense can put the points up this Sunday you could see TTFR take a close game 167-165.

Them Bastards vs Broker Hymans, this should be a blowout Hymans showed up on Monday night but due to there lack of play on Sunday there was no chance. This week Them Bastards will be firing on all cylinders to set their new campaign on a high note 185-125.

Buffalo Maybe Next Year takes on the Queens Citys Finest. Next Year came out a little slugish at the end of the day, wasnt expecting that from this team. This week they will play hard but the Finest have a team that will win a shootout this week. Finest takes it 175-159.

Lastly the battle of the undefeated. This is the only matchup this week with both teams 1-0. They will both need to look for the defense to help win this game. Last week the SS had the best d in the league hopefully they can continue the streak into this weekend. Enforcers will come up short 181-175.
